After earlier being recruited by the University of Santo Tomas, basketball player Reynold Tupas of Himamaylan City recently confirmed he would be joining De La Salle-Santiago Zobel School (DLSZ), where he will play in the 82nd UAAP junior basketball season.
“I am thankful sa opportunity na makalaro sa La Salle (I am thankful for the opportunity to play with DLSZ),” he said. “I will do my best to help the team win.”
As a player for Hua Siong College of Iloilo (HSCI), he reportedly impressed DLSZ head coach Boris Aldeguer during tryouts last Thursday.
“Coach Boris was impressed with Reynold’s quickness,” said HSCI head coach Vincent Conlu. “He is planning to use Reynold as his starting point guard in the upcoming UAAP season.”/ASC, WDJ
