At least three people were killed yesterday morning after a motorcycle struck a bus head-on at Sitio Curva Hagnaya in Toboso’s Barangay Tabun-ak.
Police identified one of the fatalities as 19-year-old Junrey Bawaan, while the other two were not named as of press time.
Toboso municipal police chief, Police Major Joery Puerto, said the victims were chasing down another motorcycle following a scuffle when they collided with the bus, which was traveling in the opposite direction of the motorcycle.
Puerto said the victims were also likely inebriated as witnesses claimed they saw the three drinking during the town’s fiesta the night prior.
The bus driver, meanwhile, has since surrendered to Toboso police./DGB, WDJ
