Program seeks to turn students into ‘PhilHealth advocates’
Around 300 teachers from across Negros Occidental recently underwent Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Learner’s Material training.
“We believe that teachers are the best source of learning in school and that they have the capability to diligently mold young minds to become achievers in life,” said acting PhilHealth-Region VI Vice President Janet A. Monteverde.
The program seeks to inform students about PhilHealth, the values and principles of social health insurance, and the National Health Insurance Program in order to, according to a Philippine Information Agency press release, “raise young advocates and champions of PhilHealth.”
