Tay Tung seeks to defend Rebisco Volleyball League title

Competition begins today at the USLS gym

Bacolod Tay Tung High School seeks to retain their Rebisco Volleyball League 18-Under title as the regional finals get underway today at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) gym in Bacolod City. The competition is expected to run until Sunday, June 16.
“Our preparation has been great,” affirmed Tay Tung player Joan Marie Monares. “The coaches have prepared us for [the] regionals.”
“We will have a [mostly] intact lineup so our focus is to keep the crown and the chance to represent Region VI in the national finals,” she added.
Joining her on the Tay Tung squad are Alyssa Bertolano, Rhean Almendralejo, Aurea Alvero, Gwen Bañas, Kiesha Bedonia, Annikha Cabasac, Shane Carmona, Katherine Cortez, Erika Deloria, Nicolei Galvan, and Kathleen Tan.
Other Negros Occidental schools that qualified for the regional finals include USLS, Living Stones International School, Trinity Christian School, Calvary Baptist Academy of Pontevedra, and Colegio San Nicolas De Tolentino-Recoletos.
In addition, schools from Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, and Aklan will also be competing./ASC, WDJ
