Bacolod Tay Tung High School won the 8th Maji Sports Basketball Tournament with a 68-56 victory over the Talisay Sharks last weekend at the Homesite Gym in Bacolod City.
Tay Tung’s John Ordas was named Most Valuable Player and placed among the “Mythical Five,” alongside teammate Kobe Demisana.
“This championship is good for the team,” said Tay Tung head coach Dexter Dy. “We are measuring hanggang saan ang kakayanin namin (We are measuring the extent of our abilities).”
“We will be sending the same team to the Batang Pinoy,” he added.
Also included on the Tay Tung roster were Nathan Jundana, Mike Estelloso, Thomas Pillado, Adrielle Binguan, John Ray Castiller, Marvin delos Santos, Dylan Despi, Josh Dignadice, CJ Juguan, and Rafael Ledesma./ASC, WDJ
