Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado yesterday revealed Negros Occidental’s internal revenue allotment, which is a local government unit’s share of national tax revenue, is up by 12.75 percent for 2020. He said the province will see an allotment of P16,639,681,039 next year, up from this year’s P14,757,533,363.
“It’s big money for the local economy,” he explained. “This comes from the big increase of revenue in the national government; [it also means] there is effective tax collection at the local level.”
“This will mean more services and projects for the people,” the provincial official added.
Among cities, Kabankalan City is set to receive the largest share with P141,851,306, while Cauayan tops municipalities with P36,400,750./DGB, WDJ
