The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has approved the inclusion of Bacolod City College (BCC) under the national government’s free tuition program. According to Bacolod City lone district Rep. Greg Gasataya, he received formal communication from CHED affirming the school’s accreditation, which begins in the ongoing 2019-2020 academic year.
The congressman said CHED is set to conduct a meeting with the BCC president, along with the heads of other colleges and universities, to discuss guidelines for implementing the free tuition law.
Gasataya said he expects enrollment at BCC to further increase following the approval./DGB, WDJ
