The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported they have seized a total P19.7 million worth of shabu between January and May of this year.
In a radio interview with Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod, BCPO operations branch chief, Police Major Lester Leada, said the illicit substances are associated with the 269 police operations conducted during that time.
While a total of 410 individuals were arrested in the operations, Leada said the numbers may still increase as they have been conducting non-stop operations against drug suspects.
He added, BCPO thanks city residents and barangay officials for their cooperation in the campaign against illegal drugs.
During a three-day period earlier this month, the BCPO recovered almost P700,000 worth of shabu, which resulted in the arrest of 25 people.
The biggest arrest was made by anti-drug operatives from Police Station 7 in Bacolod City’s Barangay 8, where 17 were nabbed on illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
