A former Philippine Army 303rd Infantry Brigade (303IB) commander passed away recently. In a statement by 303IB commander, Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo, retired Brigadier General Francisco Delfin died from cancer last Monday in Iloilo City.
Arevalo said Delfin served as the 17th 303IB commander from 2015 to 2017, after which he served as assistant division commander for the 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) from 2017 to 2018.
He retired from the armed forces last February at the age of 56.
