The victims of the recent tornado that ravaged several barangays in San Enrique earlier this week are set to receive assistance.
San Enrique Mayor Jilson Tubillara said he ordered the town’s Department of Social Welfare and Development to visit tornado-hit areas and assess the needs of those affected.
The mayor said the municipal government is also ready to provide financial assistance.
In total, the local disaster office reported 19 homes were either destroyed or damaged.
However, there were no evacuations and the affected families immediately returned home after the heavy rains and tornado passed.
Tubillara added, several swaths of agricultural land were also damaged by the tornado./DGB, WDJ
