NorthPort Batang Pier scored a convincing 121-88 victory over 2019 PBA Philippine Cup champions San Miguel Beermen last Wednesday in the ongoing 2019 Honda PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Robert Bolick led the win with 25 points, Prince Ibeh had a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Garvo Lanete and Jonathan Grey each added 16 markers.
From a 25-all tie after the first 12 minutes, Batang Pier created distance in the second period behind inside hits from Ibeh for a 54-41 halftime lead.
Batang Pier continued its torrid shooting in the third period on outside shots from Lanete, Gray, and Bolick and inside hits from Ibeh and Moala Tautuaa for its largest lead of 38 points./ASC, WDJ
