PetroGazz sweeps BanKo Perlas

PetroGazz Angels won their second straight 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference match after their 25-19, 25-21, 25-12 win over the BanKo Perlas Spikers earlier this week at the San Juan Arena.
Janisa Johnson led the win with 21 points and 19 attacks, while Wilma Salas had 18 points with eight digs and 14 excellent receptions.
After handily winning the first set, the Angels opened the second frame with a 9-1 lead before the Spikers cut it to 12-11. Johnson and Salas then helped pull PetroGazz ahead.
In the third set, the Angels raced to a comfortable 10-point cushion at 20-10 on back-to-back hits by Johnson. Subsequent errors from the Spikers allowed the Angels to close the match in three sets.
Meanwhile, the defending champion Creamline Cool Smashers beat the PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers, a 25-21, 25-16, 25-18./ASC, WDJ
