At least 17 people were arrested Wednesday afternoon by Police Station 7 (PS7) anti-drug operatives following a buy-bust operation at Purok Pili in Barangay 8, Bacolod City.
PS7 commander, Police Major Sherlock Gabana, said the primary target of the operation was 39-year-old Joey Yap, who was also identified as a street-level target.
Also arrested in the operation were George Lisaca, Raymond Sibornido, JR Emeterio, Tonton Yap, Randy Caduhada, Jerry Catapang, Emmanuel Dachoon, Rico Anieve, Eduardo Denosta, Glenn Yap, Fermin Cumawas, Andrew Magbanua, Roberto Carasaquit, Allan Cristales, Ian Bandoquillo, and Bernie Baldevia.
Gabana said, prior to the operation, the area had been under surveillance by police for at least two weeks.
Cops recovered a total of 14 small, five medium, and two big sachets of suspected shabu; weighing a total of eight grams; and valued at P120,000.
