Winners named in this year’s Ceres Cup

Winners were recently named in the Ceres Cup, which took place in Talisay City across various venues including the Ceres FC North Field, Sta. Maria Football Field, and Carlos Hilado Memorial State College football field.
Makoto FC-A won the men’s open, EVFC won the ladies’ open, Bayawan City FC – Boys’ 18 (Born 2001 and after), Don Bosco Technical College-Cebu – Boys’ 16 (Born 2003 and after), San Carlos City – Girls’ 16 (Born 2003 and after), STI-West Negros University – Boys’ 15 (Born 2004 and after), San Carlos City Selection-A – Mixed 12 (Born 2007 and after), Rovers Davao – Boys’ 11 (Born 2008 and after), and Dolphins FC – Mixed 9 (Born 2010 and after).
A total of 493 teams from across the country took part in this year’s competition.
According to Ceres FC manager Leo Rey Yanson, the event seeks to provide football enthusiasts the opportunity to foster and exhibit sportsmanship in a competitive, safe, and friendly environment./ASC, WDJ
