SM Supermalls across the country, including SM City Bacolod, observed National Flag Day yesterday, which commemorates the first unfurling of the Philippine Flag in Kawit, Cavite on May 28, 1898.
“We have our malls decorated in national colors and our tenants have the flag on display in their stores,” said SM Marketing Manager Nep Grandea. “We hope these symbols reach our mall goers and remind them of love for their country.”
To mark the occasions, special flag raising ceremonies were conducted.
In Bacolod City, mall officials and security staff were joined by the Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection and Bacolod City Highway Patrol Group.
Meanwhile, SM City Bacolod is also gearing up for Philippine Independence Day, which takes place on June 12./WDJ
