San Carlos City’s third-most wanted drug personality was killed last Monday following a gun battle with police.
Police identified the suspect as 47-year-old Juelito Alcayde, a resident of Barangay San Juan Isidro Calatrava.
Cops also arrested Joeber Estimada, who was with the suspect and operating a motorcycle at the time of the operation.
San Carlos City police said they attempted to serve an arrest warrant after they managed to track down the suspect’s location. However, instead of yielding to authorities, Alcayde reportedly shot at the police officers, forcing them to return fire.
The suspect was said to be “well-prepared” in fighting off police as he was wearing a bulletproof vest.
Police managed to take him down after they aimed at his arms and legs.
San Carlos City police added, aside from illegal drugs, Alcayde is also allegedly involved in gun-for-hire activities.
Following the shootout, police recovered six sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia from Estimada./DGB, WDJ
