Negrense called up to national taekwondo team

Miguel Zapata of the Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers New Gen was recently called up to the Philippine national taekwondo team. He is expected to compete in the upcoming Asian Cadet Taekwondo Championships, which is scheduled to take place in Amman, Jordan from July 23 to 24; along with the World Cadet Taekwondo Championships, which will be held in Tashkent Uzbekistan in August.
“I am thankful to coach Dindo Simpao for believing in me,” he said. “I am happy to become part of the national taekwondo team.”

Miguel Zapata of the Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers New Gen, who won gold earlier this month at the 2019 ASEAN Taekwondo Championships, was recently called up to the Philippine national taekwondo team.
