The Miss Culture International pageant, which celebrates beauty in diversity and the promotion of culture, will take place this Friday, May 31 at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod.
The organization held a press conference and sponsor’s interview earlier this week at the Stonehill Suites function hall, while pre-pageant events also took place at the Ayala Capitol Central Mall yesterday.
The pageant’s theme is “Enchantresses of Time,” which the organization believes shows the importance of time and history.
According to the Miss Culture International website: “History is a guide to navigation in perilous times. History is who we are and why we are the way we are.”
The candidates in this year’s pageant include Karen Elizabeth Garcia from Mexico, Sylvernie Englebert Belinda from Malaysia, Jasmine Elliott – Australia, Flora Gracia Siagian – Indonesia, Liyah Phiri – Zambia, Blessing Amaka – Nigeria, Ioana Dorohoii – Romania, and Claire Therese Porras – Philippines./WDJ
