A 36-year-old man was found dead inside a parked jeepney yesterday morning by local residents at Purok Lampiron in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2.
Police identified the fatality as 36-year-old Ronilo Nicavera, a resident of Barangay Dulao in Bago City.
Police Station 2 (PS2) deputy commander, Police Lt. Florentino Abalayan, said, based on an initial autopsy conducted by investigators, Nicavera was killed after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest with an exit wound discovered on his back.
Investigators recovered a .45 caliber slug from the crime scene.
When cops interviewed local residents they claimed, around 3:30 a.m., they heard gunshots in the area.
The remains were later found around 5:00 a.m.
Police are presently investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
