Former judicial vicar for the Diocesan Tribunal of the Diocese of Bacolod, Monsignor Victorino Rivas, died over the weekend. He was 73 years old.
Diocese of Bacolod Bishop Patricio Buzon broke the news, indicating he had died at the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital.
Rivas had earlier been diagnosed with stage-4 lung cancer and suffered a stroke three weeks ago, which was followed by pneumonia.
The monsignor served the diocese for 50 years and was the parish priest for the San Antonio Abad Parish Church./DGB, WDJ
