A Cadiz City government employee was arrested last Thursday by local police following a buy-bust operation in the city’s Barangay Zone-6.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 48-year-old Ernesto ‘Langlang’ Esclares, a resident of the said area.
Cadiz City police chief, Police Major Robert Mansueto, said they arrested Esclares after he handed over a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P500.
A subsequent search yielded a total of four sachets of suspected shabu and two sachets of marijuana.
Mansueto estimated the value of the seized illicit substances at P12,500.
Esclares faces illegal drugs charges and he is detained at the Cadiz City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
