WVPRISAA retains secondary girls’ volleyball crown

The Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) secondary girls’ volleyball team retained their PRISAA National Games title yesterday with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-14 win over Region XI at the University of Mindanao-Matina in Davao City.
The team, which was comprised of Bacolod Tay Tung High School players, jumped to an early lead in each set, making quick work of their opponent.
The WVPRISAA roster included Joan Marie Monares, Erika Deloria Katherine Cortez, Alyssa Bertolano, Shane Carmona, Gwen Banas, Rhean Almendralejo, Beatrice Decena, Aurea Alvero, Nicolei Galvan, Kiesha Bedonia, Nikha Cabasa, Dya Mejos, and Chris Ann Susbilla.
Meanwhile, the WVPRISAA secondary boys’ volleyball team, represented by Central Philippine University, also emerged as champions in their competition.
In the tertiary divisions, the ladies’ squad finished in second place, while the men won bronze./ASC, WDJ
