Terrence Jones towed TNT KaTropa to a 102-87 win over the NLEX Road Warriors earlier this week in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Jones, who signed a 10-day contract with the NBA’s Houston Rockets earlier this year, finished with a double-double on 41 points and 14 rebounds. Meanwhile, Anthony Semerad added 11 markers, including three outside conversions; Kelly Williams fell a rebound short of double-double, finishing with 10 markers and nine boards.
After trailing 20-12 early in the opening period, KaTropa turned things around in the second quarter on seven straight points from Jones and outside hits by Semerad, resulting in a 52-39 halftime edge.
KaTropa’s lead extended further in the second half with Williams, Jayson Castro, and Celedonio Trollano making contributions. The team’s lead peaked at 85-60 on a basket by Yousef Taha./ASC, WDJ
