The 8th Regional Cooperative Convention and 2nd Visayas Climate Change Summit are both underway at the SMX Convention Center at SM City Bacolod.
Both events began yesterday and are set to conclude on Sunday, May 26.
Over 400 participants are expected.
In addition, Climate Change Commission Secretary Emmanuel De Guzman and Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Undersecretary Orlando Ravanera are both scheduled to address the events.
Among the topics expected to be discussed include the Philippine Cooperative Development Plan 2018-2020, the joint memorandum circular between CDA and the Department of the Interior and Local Government surrounding cooperative promotions, organization and developments among local government units, an environmental summit, and best practices for federations and cooperatives./WDJ
