Philippines finishes fourth

The Philippine girls’ U-15 national team finished in fourth place in the AFF U15 Girls’ Championship 2019 following their recent 1-0 loss to Vietnam at the Institute of Physical Education Chonburi Campus Stadium in Thailand.
A free kick by Tran Nhat Lan in the opening half was all the Vietnamese side needed to seal third place.
When the two sides met earlier in the competition, the Philippine side lost 2-0.
“Each tournament is a challenge,” Philippines coach Ching delos Reyes said following their earlier 3-1 loss to Laos.
“Everyone did their best,” the coach added. “Everyone showed that they deserve to be part of this team.”
Meanwhile, Thailand emerged as the champions after beating Laos 5-3 on penalties./ASC, WDJ
