Philippines falls to Laos in the semis

The Philippine girls’ U-15 national team was eliminated from the AFF U15 Girls’ Championship 2019 following their 3-1 loss to Laos last Sunday at the Institute of Physical Education Chonburi Campus Stadium in Thailand.

“Each tournament is a challenge,” said Philippines coach Ching delos Reyes. “We hope that whatever this team has achieved in the past, we could better it.”

“Everyone did their best,” the coach added. “Everyone showed that they deserve to be part of this team.”

Angely Alferez scored the Philippines’ lone goal in the match.
