Bacolod Tay Tung High School-A won the JGM Finance Corporation 17-Under Girls’ Invitational Volleyball Tournament with a 25-22 25-12 25-14 win over Antipolo City’s California Academy over the weekend at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym in Bacolod City.
The team also took home several individual awards including Alyssa Bertolano winning Most Valuable Player and Best Opposite Spiker, Joan Marie Monares as 1st Middle Blocker, Gwen Bañas – Best Libero, Shane Carmona – 2nd Best Open Spiker, Kiesha Bedonia – Best Scorer, and Katherine Cortez – Best Setter.
Meanwhile, Tay Tung-B came in third after their 25-17 17-25 25-18 win over La Carlota in the consolation match./ASC, WDJ
