The Bacolod City Municipal Trials Court in Cities-Branch 7 recently issued arrest warrants against Atty. Erfe del Castillo, Francis Rey Cabuga, Patchy Cabuga, Joseph Ray Cabuga, and Cera Cabuga in relation to the “standoff” that took place at the Metro Inn in Bacolod City last November.

The warrants, which were signed by Judge Abraham Bayona, were issued last month on charges of grave coercion.

Catherine Berioso-Cabuga, who also goes by “Kate Brios,” is the estranged wife of Francis Rey Cabuga who had offered a reward for anybody who can provide information leading to aforementioned arrests.

Last year, Francis Rey Cabuga and del Castillo, alongside nine guards, took over the lodging establishment.

In response, Berioso-Cabuga said she was forced to destroy glass doors and utilize a bolt cutter to regain control of the inn.

Police also had to disarm the guards to deescalate the situation./DGB, WDJ
