Comelec: Do not bring phones,

cameras into polling places

By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

Bacolod City Commission on Elections (Comelec) supervisor, Atty. Ann Janette Lamban, warned voters not to bring mobile phones and cameras inside polling precincts, noting, taking pictures of completed ballots is considered an election-related offense.

Last week, she recommended voters arrive earlier to the polls, noting, voting precincts will open at exactly 6:00 a.m. and will close at 6:00 p.m. in accordance with an order earlier released by the Comelec central office.

Prior to polling precincts closing at 6:00 p.m., Board of Elections inspectors will gather the remaining registered voters in line.

Lamban added, voting at an earlier time will also help voters avoid the heat./DGB, WDJ
