Shanden Vergara of San Carlos City scored the decisive goal for De La Salle University (DLSU) in their 2-1 win over the University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 81 men’s football semifinals earlier this week at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. The win moves DLSU into the finals.
With the scored tied 1-1, the Negrense rookie scored the winner in the 77th minute.
DLSU could potentially break a 21-year title drought as they face Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) on Thursday in the finals.
Meanwhile, AdMU defeated Far Eastern University, 1-0, in their match to reach the finals./ASC, WDJ
