The Iloilo City government is expected to release mid-year bonuses for city employees next week, beginning on May 15.

“The mid-year bonus will be of big help to our employees,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “They can use it to buy their families’ daily needs, allowances, tuition fees, and school-related fees of their children.”

According to a memorandum circular released by the mayor, the bonuses are in compliance with Department of Budget and Management Circular No. 2017-2, which grants mid-year bonuses.

Human Resource Management Office head Leo Elevencione noted, employees eligible for the bonus include those hired on or before January 15, along with contractual employees hired via appointment./WDJ
