Ramos: The new location will ‘decongest’ the Bacolod City office
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) yesterday launched the LTO-EB Magalona Extension Office at the town’s session hall with LTO regional director Roland Ramos saying the new location seeks to decongest the Bacolod City office.
He added, the original plan was to establish a satellite office in Silay City but said they preferred EB Magalona since the town had donated a lot.
In addition, the municipality will be responsible for constructing the extension office.
EB Magalona mayor Marvin Malacon said the municipality has already allocated P5 million for the construction.
He expects the satellite office to be operational by September as they will start the processing on construction after the election.
Last March, Ramos denied allegations of irregularities connected with ongoing improvement projects.
In response to claims made by a certain Elizalde Valdez, Jr., the regional LTO official affirmed, “I did not ask the complainant to purchase any materials.”
The projects in question surround repairs and improvements made to the existing Regional General Services Office; KBK Toilet, or the Kayo ang Boss Ko Toilet Facilities Improvement Project; and the proposed LTO-6 Finance Records Room./DGB, WDJ
