The Iloilo City government recently announced the Pag-Ulikid sang Syudad Program, which is the city’s general care program, will be visiting 26 barangays this month.
“The city government understands the plight of some residents [as to] why they [are unable to] go to Iloilo City Hall to avail of services,” explained Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “That is why, as much as possible, we will bring whatever services we have at City Hall to the barangays.”
Among the services provided by the program include medical procedures, including dental services, circumcision, wart removal and extraction, pharmaceutical services, and HIV counseling and testing; social services including registration and requesting identification cards for senior citizens and persons with disabilities; civil registry for births, marriages, name changes, corrections, among others; veterinary procedures including animal consultation, dogs and cats neutering and spaying, and anti-rabies vaccination; distribution of seeds and other planting materials; sports coaching and distribution of equipment; among other general services.
The program runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m./WDJ
