Ian Clark Bautista of Himamaylan City recently finished with a bronze medal in the bantamweight division at the Asian Boxing Confederation Asian Boxing Championships, which took place last month at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Negrense boxer lost via split decision in the semifinals to Nodirjon Mirzakhmedov of Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, Filipina Josie Gabuco won gold in the light flyweight division by defeating North Korea’s Kim Hyang-mi in the championship fight.

In addition, John Nobel Marvin also won bronze after losing to Bek Nurmanganbet of Kazakhstan in the light heavyweight division.
