Transition team formed in Iloilo City

Ahead of next week’s midterm elections, which take place on May 13, Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III earlier issued an executive order creating the Local Governance Transition Team as a means of ensuring a smooth transition of either new or re-elected officials.

The team will be responsible for conducting an inventory of local government unit properties; gather, secure, and preserve all official documents or records regarding transactions; organize a turnover ceremony; among other duties.

Candidates voted into office following the elections officially assume their respective posts on June 30./WDJ
