Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. yesterday led the inauguration of a 28-kilometer provincial road in Passi City. The project, which cost P272 million, was funded through the Philippine Rural Development Program.
The road connects ten city barangays.
According to Department of Agriculture-Region VI Executive Director Remelyn Recoter, the road will cut travel time to city proper from two hours to 30 minutes.
In addition to the PRDP, the Defensor administration provided a counterpart P32 million fund, while the Passi City government allotted P8 million./WDJ
