The Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) finished the 2019 Palarong Pambansa winning 11 medals, including three gold and seven bronze medals, along with one silver.

In the elementary level, Dirk Atilano, Vincent Dominguez, Shaun Jardinico, and Kristian Magallanes won gold in the boys’ team event; Atilano and Neka Therese Daguia won bronze in mixed doubles; while Daguia and Dianah Aeris Yapiso also won bronze in a separate competition.

Among secondary level accomplishments, J. Allan Noel Gayoso won gold in the boys’ singles event, while Rem Francis Caoyonan took bronze in the same event; Gayoso, Caoyonan, John Romel Baria, and Joshua Chavez won in the boys’ team event; Clarice Thalia Gomez, Ann Niccolle and Marie Levee Oliva, and Jan Ashley Vecencio won the girls’ tram event; while Marie Levee Oliva and Gomez captured bronze in the girls’ doubles contest./ASC, WDJ
