Comelec-Bacolod: Show up early to the polls
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga
The Bacolod City Commission on Elections (Comelec) advised the public to show up early to the polls on Monday, Election Day.
Comelec-Bacolod elections supervisor, Atty. Ann Janette Lamban, said voting precincts will open at exactly 6:00 a.m. and will close at 6:00 p.m. in accordance with an order earlier released by the Comelec central office.
Prior to polling precincts closing at 6:00 p.m., Board of Elections inspectors will gather the remaining registered voters in line.
Lamban said voting at an earlier time will also help voters avoid the heat.
She further advised voters to have a list of candidates ready in order for them to vote quickly.
Bacolod City currently has a total 312,816 registered voters./DGB, WDJ
