At least P150,000 worth of suspected shabu were recently seized following a buy-bust operation at Sitio Mambulan in Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City.

Police identified the arrested as 35-year-old Genebert Taco and 30-year-old Joenebert Gonzales, both residents of the said community.

Kabankalan City police said their anti-drug operatives moved in after the suspects handed one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop.

A search of the suspects and the premises yielded a 12-gauge shotgun and several live bullets and empty shells from a .45 caliber type firearm.

Aside from illegal drug charges, Taco is facing additional charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Both suspects are currently detained at the Kabankalan City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
