A suspected thief was declared dead on the spot Tuesday afternoon after he was gunned down by riding-in-tandem suspects at Purok Santan 1 in Barangay Old Sagay, Sagay City.
Police identified the fatality as Raymund Baynosa, a resident of the said area.
Based on investigation carried out by Sagay City police, Baynosa was chopping wood when he was approached by motorcycle-riding gunmen, who shot him several times with .45 caliber firearms.
The suspects immediately fled, while Baynosa was killed after sustaining a fatal shot to the head.
Sagay City police added, aside from being a suspected thief, the victim was also on the Toboso Municipal Police Station’s drug watchlist.
Police are now investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
