Organizers of the annual MassKara Festival, the Silver MassKara Festival Organization (SMFO), submitted financial statements from 2016 to 2018 yesterday morning to the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP).

According to SMFO head Eli Tajanlangit, while the organization is not required to submit such statements, they wanted them publicized as “representatives of the city residents.”

“We have been consistently doing this,” he explained. “We only consolidated the last three years because of unique circumstances.”

Total revenue over the three-year span saw a gradual increase from P9.8 million in 2016 to P13.2 million the following year, and growing to P15.4 million last year.

Tajanlangit added, all income stemmed from sponsorship and sales.

He affirmed, no government funds were extended to SMFO./DGB, WDJ
