A riding-in-tandem attack earlier this week along the national highway in Barangay Marina, Hinigaran left one man wounded.

Authorities identified the victim as Mariano Salazar, who was wounded in the finger. He was accompanied by Larry Concepcion.

Binalbagan municipal police chief, Police Captain Albert Sy, said the two were traveling along the highway when unidentified suspects allegedly overtook them. One of the suspects then opened fire at the tricycle they were aboard, wounding Salazar.

The suspects immediately sped away from the crime scene.

Salazar was immediately rushed to a nearby medical center for treatment.
