The Cignal HD-Ateneo Blue Eagles earned a twice-to-beat advantage in the 2019 PBA D-League playoffs after their 102-88 win over the Che’Lu Bar and Grill Revellers earlier this week at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao, Quezon City.

Ilonggo Ferdinand ‘Thirdy’ Ravena III led the win with 24 points, seven rebounds, and four assists; import Angelo Kouame added 18 points, 16 rebounds, and four blocks; and Adrian Wong contributed 17 markers, including six in the fourth quarter.

Things got heated midway in the fourth when Chris Dumapig was slapped with a flagrant foul for a hit on William Navarro, which escalated into a verbal tussle between Cignal HD-Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin and Stephen Siruma.

The incident further ignited Cignal HD-Ateneo as they turned an eight-point 82-74 lead into a 16-point advantage at 93-77 with 3:36 remaining in the game.

Meanwhile, the Ironcon-UST Growling Tigers returned to their winning ways with a 111-90 victory over McDavid Apparels./ASC, WDJ
