Negrense runners win gold

Negrense runners May Therese Gula and Ara Rahbea Delotavo recently picked up gold medals in the ongoing 2019 Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia after winning the 4×400 relay alongside Abegail Manzano and Jessel Lumapas.

With the win, Bacolod City’s Gula earned her third medal of the games after earlier winning two bronze medals; while Silay City native Delotavo picked up her second medal after previously winning a bronze medal.

Meanwhile, after winning gold in the women’s javelin throw, Escalante City native Franz Gela Romualdo Bintad clinched a silver medal in the women’s open discus throw.

Negros track and field athletes have so far earned two gold, two silver, and two bronze medals./ASC, WDJ
