Kaya FC-Iloilo unleashed a 5-1 demolition of Lao Toyota FC yesterday in the ongoing 2019 AFC Cup at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.

Striker Jordan Mintah completed a hat trick for the Iloilo City-based club, with forward Connor Tacagni and midfielder Yannick Tuazon contributing the additional goals.

Kaya got off to a quick start with Mintah scoring in the 11th minute. Tacagni went on to double the lead in the 40th minute.

Into the second half, Mintah scored his second in the 66th minute, putting Kaya up 3-0.

Striker Kazuo Homma pulled one back for Lao Toyota in the 70th minute; however, Tuazon made it 4-1 in the 86th minute and Mintah secured his hat trick in the 89th minute.

With the victory, Kaya FC-Iloilo sits in second place in Group H on eight points. With one match left, they are unable to catch first place PSM Makassar, which has 11 points.

The Ilonggo club next meets Singapore’s Home United FC in a must-win on May 14./ASC, WDJ
