The General Alliance of Workers Association (GAWA) will be conducting a worker’s forum as part of their Labor Day observance on May 1.
GAWA Secretary-General Wennie Sancho said the forum will be attended by various groups, particularly those in the labor sector.
Among the topics to be discussed include the entry of Chinese workers, wage increases, implementation of new salary increases for household workers, and sugar importation.
Sancho hopes the government takes notice of the situation of workers in the country and take action on labor sector requests./DGB, WDJ
