FEU women’s volleyball team upsets DLSU

Far Eastern University (FEU) delivered an upset 25-22, 13-25, 15-25, 27-25, 15-9 victory over De La Salle University (DLSU) in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball season last Sunday at the San Juan Arena.

Heather Guino-o finished with 24 points from 20 attacks, three aces, and a block for FEU; while Jerrili Malabanan added 15 markers.

Trailing 2-1, FEU were poised to win the fourth set after taking a 17-12 lead but DLSU clawed back to a 25-all tie before Aduke Ogunsanya and Lourdes Clemente committed errors and extended the match to fifth set.

In the fifth set, FEU got to a 6-2 start DLSU committing error after error.

FEU was able to complete the upset with DLSU giving up five more errors late in the match.

Meanwhile, Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) solidified its hold on the top spot after a 25-20, 27-25, 25-11 sweep over the University of the East Lady.
