Kaya FC meets Lao Toyota today at the Panaad

Kaya FC-Iloilo will be hoping to keep their 2019 AFC Cup hopes alive as they face Lao Toyota FC this afternoon in the group stage at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City. While the Lao club is virtually eliminated from the competition, the Iloilo City-based club currently sits in third place, three points adrift from first place.

Lao Toyota earned their one point in the competition following a 1-1 draw with Kaya FC during the opening matches of the group stage last February.

“This is a crucial game,” said Kaya FC head coach Noel Marcaida. “We need to get maximum points to stay at the top of the table.”

He also discussed their game plan this time around.

“It’s going to be a test of character not just for our players but for them as well,” Marcaida added. “If we have an answer for their set pieces, I think we’ll be having a positive outcome.”
