Around 10,000 posts are for overseas work
The Department of Labor and Employment-Region VI (DOLE-6) announced there will be around 15,000 job openings at the upcoming Labor Day job fair next Wednesday, May 1, at Robinsons Place Jaro.
According to DOLE-6 Administrative Officer V Niezel Anen Sabrido, around 10,000 jobs are overseas work consisting of skilled labor, domestic helpers, nurses, and teachers; while the approximately 5,000 domestic jobs are comprised of call centers, construction, and jobs in the restaurant and hotel industry.
The job fair has an ongoing pre-registration that runs until Tuesday, April 30, the day before the job fair.
“There is a ‘shopping list,’ which means these are your priority industry and priority employer, so you can proceed to those employers right away,” Sabrido explained./WDJ
