Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) officer-in-charge, Police Colonel Henry Biñas, dispelled rumors all BCPO personnel will be removed and replaced with new police officers.

According to Biñas, the report has no basis and they have not received any directives from Philippine National Police (PNP) national headquarters. However, Biñas pointed out, a police officer’s posting is not permanent and they could be reassigned at any given time.

Based on the alleged report, all BCPO personnel will be removed from their posts to undergo re-training in Capiz.

The said report also claimed the removal was because PNP top brass were not convinced of the BCPO’s campaign against illegal drugs./DGB, WDJ
